Red fabric hardcover with title and author imprinted in gold on cover and spine. The cover has an abstract flower and leaf design on a 1" band at top and bottom. Aged white paper with black ink and brown end-papers. The text of 225 pages includes a table of contents, list of illustrations, and appendix. 6 additional pages of advertising. Subjects include information on California's history, geography, transportation, climate and natural resources. The cover is worn but paper quality is still good. Overall condition is fair.
