"California Horticulturist and Floral Magazine," Vol. 6, No. 10 (October 1876), published by John H. Carmany & Co., San Francisco. The periodical is a general magazine for farming, landscape gardening, and related topics, consisting of articles, essays, reprinted items from other publications, and advertisements. There is also a 32-page seed catalog added at the end from the Exotic Gardens and Conservatories. On the front wrapper is an ink inscription attributing ownership to Mrs. Leland Stanford. The wrappers have creases, stains, and soiling, and the front has an adhesive-damaged area at the right, while pages are generally clean, though there top right corner of the magazine is missing, so the condition is fair.Lexicon
