"California Horticulturist and Floral Magazine," Vol. 8, No. 1 (January 1878), published by John H. Carmany & Co., San Francisco. The periodical is a general magazine for farming, landscape gardening, and related topics, consisting of articles, essays, reprinted items from other publications, and advertisements, although the first several pages and front wrapper are missing, so that the text begins at page seven. The back weapper is heavily soiled, abraded, creased, and stained and pages have dogeared corners, tears and soiling, so the condition is poor.Lexicon
