"California Hotel and Wine Gazette," 2 June 1898 (Vol. 44, No. 4), published by the California Hotel and Wine Gazette Publishing Company, San Francisco. The trade journal features industry news and has information relating to hotels, wine, beer and tobacco interests and a chart of prices for these commodities. There are also many advertisements for hotels throughout the country, but mainly in northern California. The front cover image, however, is of the Redondo Beach Hotel near Los Angeles. With extensive soiling, many tears, significant creases and some pest damage, the condition is poor.
