Description

"CALIFORNIA OLD MISSIONS" POSTCARD BOOKLET, 1928 Color: Black; Blue; Green; Orange; Red; White "California Old Missions" postcard booklet, published by Pacific Novelty Company, San Francisco and Los Angeles, and dates 1928 by a previous owner. The postally unused item's front cover has the title in red letters at the top center, an image of a mission in color at the left, and space for an address and a stamp at the right. In the address area is a name and the date of February 5, 1928. On the back is a flap for putting the sender's address and the same name and date as on the front is here as well. The flap folds into a scene of another mission. Inside are two-sided images of the several California missions, all in full color and with identification numbers and/or captions. Included in these is the Old Plaza Church, which was not a mission. With edge rubbing, some edge creases, light soiling, fading of the color on the edges due to rubbing, and small tears along the paper surface at the edges, the condition is good.
