Description

Color: Green; Red "Camping," a catalog of camping equipment and supplies produced by Von Lengerke & Detmold Inc, 1925. The paper cover is green with red lettering, having the title at the front top, under which is an image of a man cooking with a small pan over a metal grille on a fire. At the bottom is the company and its president's names and the address, though this is crossed out with red ink. There is also red ink on the fire and on one arm and both legs of the male figure in the image. On the back cover is the title, the manufacturer's logo and, at the bottom, the same information about the company as on the front. The 115 page catalog contains product information and pricing with black and white drawings and photographs and includes tents and tent accessories; sleeping bags; mattresses, pillows, ponchos and bed rolls; duffle bags; packs and pack harnesses; food and water containers, appliances and utensils; camp furniture; car carriers; canoes and canoe equipment; outboard motors; food products; refrigerated baskets; tools and knives; lanterns and lights; compasses; and clothing and shoes. At the back is an alphabetical index and order forms. Though the pages are in generally good condition, the cover has tears, creases and fairly extensive wear, so the artifact is in overall fair condition.
