Description

A candle wick snuffer, ca. 1860s. The iron object has decorative florals, scrolls and a sun design throughout. There is a swing arm that comes out from a three-sided box and a pointed tip. There is also a snuffer tray with this accession, though it does not appear to be a set. With some hardening of the metal, tarnishing and other discoloration, the condition is good overall.
