Description

CARDBOARD LIGHT TRAY FOR SANTA CLAUS XMAS TREE LIGHTING OUTFIT Color: Green; Red; White; Yellow A cardboard light tray, stapled inside the box bottom of a Santa Claus Christmas tree lighting outfit, 1928. There is a lid that covers the light kit when the box lid is removed. This tray has directions for replacing burned out bulbs and cautions not to attach more than six units from one outlet or to use outdoors. The other side of this lid is the same image as on the box lid; that is, an image of Santa Claus and a background of snowfall, with the product name to the right. In addition here is a small white box at the bottom right that states "Equipped with / JAPANESE LAMPS," which are item .4. The rest of the tray rests on the box bottom and has spaces for securing the eight lamps, as well as space for the cord and socket, all of which are item .3. This portion of the tray is stapled to the two ends of the box bottom. The box lid and bottom are item .1 of this accession. With some dents on corners, light soiling, some stains, and general wear, the tray is in good overall condition.
