Description
Cars racing on a straightaway at Ascot Speedway, Los Angeles, 10 April 1921. The photographer captured the scene over spectators heads from the lower grandstand. Several cars are heading to the right on the straightaway and heading for the turn at the east end of the track. A few men stand on or near the guardrail on the outside of the track and there are spectators on the infield, as well. In the distance are stands of trees and portions of mountains. With some stains at the upper right, light yellowing and slight paper curvature, the overall condition is good.
