Description
Cars speeding down the straightaway during a race, Ascot Speedway, Los Angeles, 10 April 1921. Two cars are in a blur between the heads and bodies of spectators and photographers on the lower grandstand and outer track guardrail. There are also spectators and probably crew on the inner guardrail and infield. In the distance are stands of trees and portions of mountains. At the bottom left margin is the ink inscription, "April 10, Sunday, 1921." With some yellowing, soiling, and curvature of the paper, the overall condition is good.
