Description

CASA DEL HERRERO FOUNTAIN ORNATE MEDALLION TILE Color: Blue; Brown; Green; White A hand-pressed ornate medallion tile for Casa Del Herrero's fountain, manufactured by Diana Watson's Native Tile & Ceramics, 2001. The tile, which is made in the raised-line technique, is part of a large medallion. At the bottom left corner, center, and top right corner are blue and green lines curved in different directions. Between the lines are green leaves and blue and brown flowers. All of the designs are against a white background. All of the colors are matted. Stamped in the clay on the center of the back is "NATIVE / TILE & CERAMICS." The tile was a reproduction test for the restoration of a fountain at the Casa Del Herrero historic site. The manufacturer's catalog number for the artifact is 428. The object is in mint condition.
