Description

CASE FOR THE VIDEOTAPE OF THE SILENT FILM "THE NEW MEDICINE MAN" Color: Black; Gray; Red; White A videotape case housing the tape with the silent film "The New Medicine Man" (1914) recorded on it. The case spine indicates the tape as a TDK EHG (Extra High Grade) VHS tape, while the front gives the same information with the addition of "Sound & Color / SUPER AVILYN / TECHNOLOGY PLUS." The back has the tape brand information and a section in white with ruled lines for recording the contents of the tape--this, however, is blank. The tape, a 5"H x 8"W index card with recording information and an 11"H x 8 1/2"W sheet with information on the film and Josephine M. Workman, its star, also are part of this accession. With little indication of wear or damage, the artifact is in good condition.
