CAST-IRON FENCE FROM THE SOUTHEAST, EL CAMPO SANTO
Color: Blue; Red
A color polaroid photograph of the cast-iron fence of El Campo Santo from the southeast, ca. 1977. Much of the south side of the fence is across the photo, while a small portion of the east and, in the background, some of the northern and western sides are visible. At the southeastern corner, near the pillar or post are some stakes driven into the ground. The top of the John Rowland tombstone is at the center. In the foreground is part of the sidewalk that circles the fence and nearer the photographer is part of the grass area, where there are a few other stakes. In the background left is a small portion of the northern end, or crypt section, of the mausoleum, while arbor vitae, the ginkgo tree and other landscaping are also in the background. With little indication of damage or wear, the object is in good condition.
