Description

"Catalog No. 2," Los Angeles Heavy Hardware Company, 1 January 1929. The item lists tools, supplies and machinery provided to blacksmith shops by the firm which had its offices and salesroom on north Los Angeles Street and its warehouse and shipping department on north San Pedro Street. Also included are an index, parcel post rates and shipping regulations, and other ordering information. There is also a photograph of the Charles H. Priest blacksmith shop from 1891. At the back is useful information, including material on lengths of steel, truck and rail shipments, a table for wire gauges, a table for board measurements, and American weights and measurements. Listings typically have dimensions, prices, and product images. The boards have much soiling, staining, edge rubbing and other wear, while most pages have small stains, so the condition is fair.
