Color: Blue, black, white
A certificate a) with program for the presentation ceremony b) presented by the Daughters of the American Revolution to Gabriela and Thomas W. Temple II, 2 February 1974. The certificate has a large American Bicentennial logo in blue, over which is the text and at the top the gold logo of the D. A. R. The names of Temple (with the error of listing him as Thomas W. Temple III instead of II) and his wife are handwritten in black ink as is the section listing the reason for his receiving the award, being his contributions to maintaining the history and heritage of the Mission San Gabriel. Pre-printed on the bottom of the form are the signatures of the President General of the D. A. R. national society and the National Chair of the U. S. A. Bicentennial Committee with the signature of the committee chair handwritten. There is also space for the date. Item b) is for the awards presentation program at Mayfield School, Pasadena listing the recipients of several awards, including the Temples. Though the certificate has a long crease at the left side, there is little other evidence of wear or damage on it and the program, so both are in good condition.
