Description
"Chamber's Encyclopaedia a Dictionary of Universal Knowledge for the People with Maps and Numerous Wood Engravings." Revised Edition. Volume IV (O to SOCIETIES). New York: Collier, 1886. An ink stamp on the inside cover, in an oval, "S. P. Rowland / Real Estate / Insurance Agent / Puente CAL." A pencil inscription written on the inside cover, "S. P. Rowland." Includes color fold out maps and black and white engraved images. The book is in poor condition. Spine is detaching from the front cover at the inner hinge and partially on the back cover, the leather covered boards have minor abrasion, head bands are loose but text block is whole and pages are in good condition.
