Description
"Chamber's Encyclopaedia a Dictionary of Universal Knowledge for the People with Maps and Numerous Wood Engravings." Revised Edition. Volume III (I to OXENSTIERNA). New York: Collier, 1886. An ink stamp on the inside cover, in an oval, "S. P. Rowland / Real Estate / Insurance Agent / Puente CAL." An ink inscription written on drawn in lines, "Samuel P. Rowland / Druggist / Los Angeles Cal. / August 1886." Includes color fold out maps and black and white engraved images. The book is in fair condition. Spine is detaching from the front cover at the inner hinge, the leather covered boards have minor abrasion but text block is whole and pages are in good condition.
