A partial letter from Charles Forman, Vice-President and General Manager of the Los Angeles Cable Railway Company, to likely an attorney, probably September 1888. The letter, parts a-b, concern litigation involving the railway company and/or Forman personally and, because the letter is incomplete and details about the case are otherwise lacking at the moment, it is difficult to identify the substance of the letter. This item came with a full letter from Forman and an envelope, but it is difficult to say what relation they have to each other. With heavy staining and soiling, missing marginal sections and much fading of the typing ink, the condition is poor to fair.
