Description

CHARLES INGHAM TO PERRY WORDEN, 13 JANUARY 1927 Letter: A two-page handwritten letter from Charles Ingham to Perry Worden, 13 January 1927. Ingham, the proprietor of Dummer Academy and writing on Yale Club [New York] stationery, discussed the schooling at Dummer of Walter P., Jr. and Edgar Temple, particularly the difficulties Walter was experiencing in recitation. He indicated he would more fully explicate the boys' situation in a later letter, but said he did not know of their status for the 1927-28 school year. The boys graduated from Dummer in 1929. See also Thomas' letters to Walter, Sr. in the research files for occasional mention of the boys' schooling. The letter is in good condition with folds, some creases, and little discoloration. From the Thomas Temple Collection, donated by Ruth Ann Michaelis. Written in blue ink on the back of the letter by Gabriela Quiroz Temple, widow of Thomas W. Temple II, is "re: Bert & Wally at school."
