2005.568.1.1Description
PHOTOGRAPH, CHARLES LINDBERGH AND UNKNOWN MAN, LOS ANGELES, by Dick Whittington, probably September 1927. The closeup view shows Lindbergh in a side view in a suit and standing with at least three men, only one of whom is largely visible, although this man, who holds a stack of papers in his hands, is unknown. In the background appears to be an airport hangar, although it is blurred and in shadow. On the reverse is a pencil inscription of Lindbergh's last name, while, at the center, is the stamp for photographer Dick Whittington. Aside from light edge discoloration and corner denting, the condition is good.Lexicon
