Checkers box: Box and lid manufactured by Parker Brothers, Inc. to hold a set of "Composition Checkers" (15 black and 15 red) and is part of checker set 95.9.6-.8. Box is made of cardboard and has paper affixed to the lid. Top of lid has a yellow cartouche at center with "Composition Checkers" printed inside in red. At left and right is an illustration of one of the checkers. "Parker Brothers, Inc./ Salem, Mass., New York, London" is printed at bottom center in black. "Composition Checkers" is printed in red on all four sides of the lid. Box bottom is plain cardboard. Abrasion at edges of lid and bottom. One end of box bottom is torn at two edges.
