"Chester Place, Los Angeles," Adolf Freese, ca. 1900s. The view is from the middle of the wide street in the small, exclusive subdivision. Large trees planted closely together line the roadway, so only portions of yards and the porch of a house at the left are in view. At the end of the street are what appear to be a small structure and a high wall. Freese's cartouche is at the reverse center. With light soiling on the image, and more soiling, stains, abrasions, pest damage to the mount, and moderate yellowing, the object is in fair condition.Lexicon
