Children selling flood photographs, ca. 1920s. The image, attributed as to Los Angeles, shows six children under or near a makeshift tent with a small table, on which is a handlettered sign reading "FLOOD PICTUR" with a smaller sign also having the word "Floods" on it. The street in the foreground has dirt and rock debris. In the background is a structure and a sign, which is not readable. The presence of large boulders in the adjacent field suggests a location near the San Gabriel Mountains and it is possible the photo was taken during the floods of 1927-28, but this is only a surmise. As slightly curved with some creases at the lower left and light soiling, the condition is good.
