Description

"Chinese Immigration, in Its Social and Economical Aspects," George F. Seward (New York: Charles Scribner's Sons,) 1881. The work contains material on population, labor in specific fields, objections to Chinese immigrants, and fears raised as to the consequences of Chinese immigration to America. In general, the work is a defense of Chinese with the view that the superiority of Anglo-Saxon civilization would advance the Chinese in America. With spine bumping, edge wear, and bumped corners on the boards, a loose binding towards the middle of the block and browned but clean pages, the condition is fair.
