Description

CHRISTMAS CARD FROM ANITA DAVOUST TEMPLE AND FAMILY Color: Black; Green; Red; Silver; White A Christmas card from Anita Davoust Temple and family, ca. 1926. The two-sided card has a silver border and much of the bottom is the same color. On this lower section is the printed message in an embossed panel and, at the bottom the ink inscription "Mrs. J. H. Temple and family." There is a wintry scene at the top with a gold sky, snow, black-tinted trees, green trees, a red brick wall and gate and a home with a snow-covered roof. The date is derived from the fact that John H. Temple died in 1926 and the card is from his widow and children. With a dented and creased lower right corner and surface soiling, the overall condition is good.
