A Christmas card from Eria de Ajuria to the Temple family, ca. 1920. The front has an image in color at the center, within an embossed line border of holly and a bell. Below this is "A MERRY CHRISTMAS." At the left is a tied red ribbon that is laced through two holes to the inside. There is a separate sheet for the inside message held to the cover by the ribbon. A preprinted message is on the right panel of the inside and at the top of the left panel is the handwritten inscription "To dear Mr and / Mrs Temple / Eria de Ajuria." On the bottom of the back cover is printed "MADE IN THE UNITED STATES" and "J. P., N. Y." Eria de Ajuria was a daughter of Francisca Temple, daughter of Jonathan Temple and a second cousin of Walter Temple. With page browning, creases, dented corners, and fraying to the ribbon, the overall condition is fair.
