Description

CHRISTMAS DECORATED TREE, NORTH SIDE OF WORKMAN HOUSE Color: Black; White A black and white photograph of a Christmas-decorated fir tree in front of the Workman House, ca. 1925. The photographer stood on the west side of the front porch of the home and the tree is just right of center. Garlands are draped over the branches, especially visible at the lower section of the tree, and there may be black cords, indicating the use of lights, though this is not certain. In the foreground right is a porch post, while at the upper and lower left are two plant pots. At extreme left is a portion of the wall on the northwest corner of the house. Vaguely ascertained in the background are some other trees, including palms. On the reverse, the word "VELOX" is stamped into the paper, while the number "56" is stamped at the lower right corner. Aside from creases at the upper left and lower right, the artifact shows little sign of wear or damage and is in good condition. Number-Units: 1
