A real photo postcard of Temple City park, ca. 1926. The view is from the south side of Las Tunas Drive looking northeast. Most of the park is visible including grass areas, small trees, bushes and shrubs, a flag pole, a black octagonal fenced area at the center, and walks. At the background left is the Temple Community Church, which was completed in 1926, hence the date. Behind the church are some residences. In the horizon are the San Gabriel Mountains. At the bottom left is the caption "City Park Temple Cal." On the reverse is stamped the word "Post Card", an area designated for correspondence and address, and a box for a postage stamp. The words "Los Angeles" are written in pencil at the top left, but it is probably a modern inscription. With only corner abrasions and rubbing and slight edge warping, the condition is good.Lexicon
