A real photo postcard of Claremont High School, Claremont, California, ca. 1911. The view shows the two-story with partial basement structure, comprising main center block with two projecting wings in an area with no landscaping, suggesting it was newly completed. On the reverse is an ink inscription of recent vintage identifying the building and noting it is "w[h]ere Griswolds is now," meaning the former hotel that is now a shopping center at the northwest corner of Foothill and Indian Hill boulevards. With edge rubbing, soiling and slight warping, the unused card is in good overall condition.
