Description

CLOSE-UP IMAGE OF AN UNIDENTIFIED BOY, CA. 1860S. Color: Black and white A black and white photograph of a close-up view of a daguerreotype, owned David A. Workman, of an unidentified boy, ca. 1860s. The inner portion of the case is shown with thin stylized outer border. The image, on the right side of the case, is within an ornate metal frame and shows a young boy, perhaps four or five years old, seated on a table top covered with a cloth. The boy wears a plaid patterned shirt with white collar, dark knee-length pants and calf-high black boots. Next to him is a side chair. Though unidentified, it is possible, since William Workman's sister, Agnes Vickers, lived in Baltimore, that this is someone from her family. With no damage or wear on the print, it is in good condition. Number-Units: 1
