Color: Black and white
A black and white photograph of a close-up view of a daguerreotype, owned by David A. Workman, of an unidentified woman, ca. 1840s. The image is shown removed from the case, without the backing liners or the glass cover and is badly damaged. It shows the seated woman wearing a black dress with white cuffs and collar and a black veil or some other hair accessory. There are no other identifying features for the image and the print of which is in mint condition with no wear or damage.
