Description

CLOSE-UP OF IRISES IN AN EAST WINDOW, LCN BREAKFAST ROOM Color: Black; White A black and white photograph of a close-up from the La Casa Nueva Breakfast Room east window, north side, showing irises, ca. 1980. The lower one-thirds of the window is in the image and the focus is on the irises, which appear to grow from the bottom of the window. Though the colors cannot be seen, they are in purple, yellow, and green. Because of the natural light backlighting, the wooden frame of the door is in shadow. The leading around the irises are in straight horizontal and vertical lines, creating basic square panels of glass, though which can be seen, at the lower left, part of a planter, but otherwise the strong light inhibits the view of the outside. In good condition, the artifact shows little indication of wear or damage. Number-Units: 1
