Description
CLOSE-UP OF THE VIRGIN MARY, SOUTH WINDOW, LCN EDGAR'S BEDROOM
Color: Black; White
A black and white photograph of a close-up from the La Casa Nueva Edgar's Bedroom south window showing a portrait of the Virgin Mary, ca. 1980. The image is within a round border with an angel's head and wings at the top and scroll work down the side to the bottom. The Virgin is shown with her garment opened at the chest, in which her heart is shown with an aura. Her hands are placed at her chest, just above and below the heart. Around her head, which is slightly tilted, is another aura. Intricate leading around the panel is in diagonals and forms geometric patterns. Although fuzzily seen, part of the balcony rail is behind the window. In good condition, the artifact shows little indication of wear or damage.
