"CLOTHES FOR CALIFORNIA CHILDREN, BULLETIN NO. 4" Color: Black; White "Clothes for California Children, Bulletin No. 4," published by the California Department of Health's Bureau of Child Hygiene and the U. S. Department of Labor's Children's Bureau, June 1928 from a 1918 committee. The front cover has the title at the top, the publishers' names at the bottom, and an image in between of two children playing in a field. The document includes material on various types of clothing and their application to better children's health and hygiene. There are general recommendations, followed by a section on children two years to five, ages six to eight or ten, and shoes for children. There are photos and drawings as illustrations in the 11-page publication. The back cover lists of publications by the state bureau relating to children's hygiene. With light creases, minor soiling, some page darkening and yellowing, a fold at the top left corner of the back, staple tarnish, and small edge tears, the general condition is good.
