Description
A photograph of Colonel William J. Fisher in a buggy parked in front of his two houses, Garden City Photo Co., Los Angeles, ca. 1900. Fisher is in the buggy, which is harnessed to a dark-colored horse and parked at the curb in front of two one-story late Victorian homes, the one on the right being his home. On the reverse is much information about Fisher and other family members written by a step-child. Research shows that the houses were at 4700 S. Park Ave. [now Avalon Blvd] and the writer was Bessie A. Atwood Claridge. There is also printed information about the photo studio, the name and address of which are on the lower portion of the front. With much wear to the matte, including missing sections, stains, and other damage and a few stains and soiling to the image, the overall condition is fair.
