The forty-eight page leather bound book includes color drawings of different homes and businesses; each having cut out windows meant to show the decorative effect of each shade sample provided in the back. Sample sheets of hand made unfilled tinted cambric are provided and come in such colors as linnette; pongee; ecru; ivory; white; surf; slate; sage; moss; ivy; laurel; buff; neutral brown; cordovan-ivory; and color 9. The front features a color drawing of a two-story home with a green lawn; two trees are in the yard and a curved path leads to the front door. A gold border with a cubic design surrounds the picture with the title to the left in gold lettering; below is "Western Luxor Tinted Cambric Shading/ Standard Guaranteed Shade Rollers" imprinted in gold. A flap from the back cover wraps around to the front and seals the book with two pressure-sensitive metal snaps. With abrasions on the cover; light foxing on the pages; and stains caused by the metal snaps, the book is in good condition.
