A color photograph of the Homestead Museum's picnic area walkway for sidewalk project, ca. August, 1993. Taken from the Pio Pico Memorial Walkway looking north, the image shows the picnic area behind some small trees and in front a brown sign reads "PICNIC AREA/ AREA DE PICNIC"; a person appears to be sitting at one of the benches looking east. To the left is the east drive; black iron fence surrounding the museum and a small portion of the east wing of the William Workman home which is partially hidden by a tree. In front of the fence is a grey trash can and to the right is a line of boulders ending at the walkway. To the right forefront is a plaque on a brick pedestal with "HOMESTEAD MUSEUM" written accross the top in bronze. The pedestal is in the middle of a flower bed with red, white, pink, and violet flowers; boulders surround the flower bed which is on grass. To the right are various trees and bushes. The image is in mint condition.
