COLOR PHOTOGRAVURE OF A HOME IN RELAY, MARYLAND
Color: Blue; Green; Red
A photogravure of a house, featuring Weatherbest Stained Shingle Company, Inc. products, from a set issued in the 1920s. The artifact, which was housed with others in a cover that is item 2.1, features an image of a Colonial-style house with horizontal wood siding; a steeply-pitched roof with dormer-like projections; shuttered windows; porches at the front and rear; and a brick chimney toward the center of the roof, which has green shingles from the Weatherbest line. Grass, shrubs and trees compose the landscaping around the house. At the left, in a blue field within a white border is a description of the house including the Weatherbest items used. On the reverse within a rectangular-shaped blue field is a floor plan of the two-story house. Aside from some edge wear and a few creases, the artifact is in good condition.
