Description

COLOR PHOTOGRAVURE OF A HOME IN SYRACUSE, NEW YORK Color: Blue; Brown; Green; Yellow A photogravure of a house, featuring Weatherbest Stained Shingle Company, Inc. products, from a set issued in the 1920s. The artifact, which was housed with others in a cover that is item 2.1, features an image of the Syracuse, New York house, which has wood siding; shuttered windows; a covered porch; a projecting side entrance at right; a rock chimney toward the middle of the house; and a steeply pitched roof. Both the roof and the siding consist of materials from the Weatherbest line. Some small plants are around the house, with mature trees in the background. At the left in a blue field with a white border is a description of the house including the Weatherbest items used. On the reverse within a rectangular-shaped blue field is a floor plan of the two-story house. Aside from some very light edge wear and some surface soiling on the reverse, the artifact is in good condition. Number-Units: 1
