Description

"Communication of the Surveyor General to the Assembly, Relative to Swamp and Overflowed Lands, 19 February 1857" and "Report of the Committee on Accounts & Expenditures," 4 March 1857," both disbound from a California Assembly document. The communication is two pages and explains the current status of platting and determining these lands. The report contains financial data under the recently-resigned state treasurer for a period of one month in January and February 1857, followed by more figures through the end of March. With creases, edge browning, and some soiling and stains, the condition is fair.
