A photograph of the completion of the Barker Building, Los Angeles, Dwyer Studio, 19 December 1925. The nearly or completed eleven-story commercial building, anchored by the Barker Brothers furniture store, at 818 W. Seventh Street, between Flower and Figueroa (and which is now a loft building.) Some cars, streets with streetcar rails, power lines, and a few pedestrians are also in view. At the lower right is an identification box listing the names of the contractor (Scofield Engineering and Construction Company), the owner (Sun Realty Company), and the architects (Curlett and Beelman), as well as the plate number and date. On the reverse is the photographer's stamp. On a linen backing, the item has some soiling, a few stains, discoloration, a few creases, and warping, the photograph is in good overall condition.
