A press photograph of Congressional representative Florence Kahn and Los Angeles attorney Clara Shortridge Foltz, 9 March 1928. The two are shown from the waist up against a cast concrete structure. Kahn is at the right and Foltz, the first practicing female lawyer in California, at the left. There are many marking, including Foltz being crossed out in blue and orange pencil, while Kahn, the focus of the cropping, has her face surrounded by a gray paint. On the reverse are many other markings and inscriptions, the photographer stamp, and a caption that, ironically, is about Foltz. With the many markings, stains, soiling and edge rubbing, the condition is fair.
