Description
Construction work for the Pacific Firestone plant, Bell Gardens, California, 16 December 1927, likely from the Graham Photo Company. The image shows some heavy equipment doing some scraping and digging, a pile of dirt and debris and several dozen people gathered around the construction site. At left is part of a building and a water tower, perhaps from a previous owner of the property. In the distance at the right are some homes, but the scene is largely rural. At the lower right is a caption "Pacific Firestone Plant / Dec. 16th, 1927" and a number "67174." With some light soiling, a few stains on the revese, and minor edge rubbing, the condition is good.
