Description

Color: Black; White A black and white photograph of Consuelo Roca, about 2 September 1927. Roca, a cousin of Agnes Temple's husband Luis Fatjo, is seated on a wicker armchair in the shaded portico or porch of a house. She wears a light-colored pleated skirt, long-sleeved blouse with a scarf hanging down the front, white house, and light-colored, probably white, shoes. Her arms rest on the arms of the chair. Behind her is a section of wall with very small portions of doorways flanking her. A floor of large square panels is within this portico or porch. On the center of the reverse is an oval stamp with the inscription: "'ENAMELO' / SEP 2 1927 / WEBBS," while at the upper left corner is the stamped number "234." Webb's was in San Jose, north of the Roca and Fatjo ranches in the Gilroy area. Except for some very slight surface soiling and acid discoloration on the lower edge of the reverse, the artifact is in good condition. Number-Units: 1
