COVER FOR DEED TO ALCATRAZ ISLAND, 20 APRIL 1920

A cover for a deed from John H. Temple to Anita Davoust Temple, 20 April 1920. The item is a thin sheet of paper folded several times and on which is typed, at the left side, "G I F T D E E D / FROM / JOHN H. TEMPLE / TO / ANITA D. TEMPLE." Contained within this cover were items .13 and .14 consisting of a notarized copy and a carbon copy of a deed granting Mrs. Temple all of her husband's interest in Alcatraz Island. At the bottom left is the penciled number "17." With the folds, two holes, possibly from pest infestation, creases, surface soiling, and indentations, the artifact is in fair condition.
