Description

CRANE LIFTING CHIMNEY AT NORTHEAST WING OF WORKMAN HOUSE Color: Green; White A color polaroid photograph of a crane lifting a new chimney for placement on the northeast wing of the Workman House, 4 January 1978. The chimney is shown attached to the crane and still resting on the scaffold. At the upper left is the crane arm, while at the lower right is the peak of the second-floor section of the wing. Part of a ladder is toward the lower left, but the dark light makes detail hard to make out in the image. A pencil inscription at the bottom of the artifact reads "Lifting Chimney Away / From Scaffold - 1/4/78." With little indication of damage or wear, the artifact is in good condition. Number-Units: 1
