Description

CRANE SETTING RESTORED WORKMAN HOUSE CHIMNEY IN PLACE Color: Black; White A color polaroid photograph of the restoration of the Workman House chimneys, ca. 1979. Though taken in bad lighting conditions, which limits the detail which can be discerned, a crane at the upper left is lowered near a worker standing on a scaffold, left of center, at the top of one of the wings, probably the northeast, of the home. The restored chimney is at lower right. At lower left is a chain-link fence capped by strings of barbed wire--this is the fence that surrounded the home during the restoration effort. Part of a tree is at the upper right corner. With little indication of wear or damage, the artifact is in good condition. Number-Units: 1
