Description
"D. F. Donegan Grading Contractor and Dealer in Horses" business, Los Angeles, by A. H. Rogers and the A. & A. Lightning Viewing Company, ca. 1890. Perhaps eighteen or so horse-drawn conveyances with about thirty persons on or near them are parked in front of the barn-like building with the Donegan name on it. In the background on either side are some residential structures. One conveyance has a Spring Street address on it, so it may be that the location was either north or west of downtown Los Angeles. With heavy soiling and staining everywhere, missing corners on the matte, a hole at the center of the right edge of the image, the condition is fair.
