Description

DANCE CARD, CEDAR RAPIDS HIGH SCHOOL, IOWA, FEBRUARY 22, 1929 Color: Blue; Red; White A dance card for a Presidents' Day dance at Cedar Rapids High School, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, February 22, 1929. The card has a gold string attached to a hole punched at the top center of the card. On one side is an image of George Washington within a red oval field. Below this is the word "DANCE" in a staggered 45 degree angle. At the bottom are the date and the words "SENIOR HIGH GYM." On the reverse is the word "Program" and then, written in ink below that, the words "Cedar Rapids." There are ten numbered spaces with room for signatures and the spaces have names of males under them. With light corner rubbing, creases at the top, dents at the top, light soiling, some discoloration, light stains at the bottom right of the front and on the back, and tears at the front of the top near the left corner, the overall condition is good.
