Description

DEDICATION OF THE WALTER P. TEMPLE MEMORIAL MAUSOLEUM Color: Black; White A black and white negative of the Walter P. Temple Memorial Mausoleum dedication, April 1921. The strip has five frames with those marked 19-21 being of the ceremony taken from the west. Bishop John J. Cantwell stands at the top of the mausoleum steps and extends his right arm to the crowd which stands below. Frames 22-23 are also from the west. The photographer stood closer to the crowd and therefore the people appear closer to the camera. Cantwell is barely visible at the front of the mausoleum with only his head is seen through the crowd. Prints for the negatives are items .1-.34 with the contact sheets being items .35-.37. The artifact has no signs of wear or damage and is therefore in good condition. Number-Units: 1
